In Loving Memory of Ava Moore

At the tender age of 18, Ava was called home by

her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Most agree, at such age, life is still just beginning for a person. We grieve for what feels like unfair brevity of life.

We grieve for future seasons of their life we will never get to experience with them.  We want more than what God allowed to be provided.

Our time on this earth is preparation for our eternity.  James 4:14 reminds us – yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring.  What is your life?  For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will do this or that.” The “this or that” you choose to pursue with the time you are gifted is far more important than your length of time on this earth. Live with zealous intentionality and wisdom that can only be gained when we surrender ourselves to the life God has called us to.  With every moment the Lord gifts you with, strive to practice gratefulness, love for thy neighbor, self-control, gentleness, faithfulness, kindness, patience and peace.

We are more than the time we have here. We have a perfect eternity that awaits us. We can prepare for it in the way we live and look forward to it with great joy and anticipation.

Ava pursued her life with such intentionality and passion, almost as though she knew her life would be short. She felt compelled to make a positive difference in any place God planted her

and the assignments He purposed for her life.

Romans 8:37-39:

No, in all things we are More Than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Our Ava was Moore Than a daughter; she was a dreamer and creator.

She was Moore Than a sister; she was a connector and collaborator.

She was Moore Than an athlete; she was a teammate and cheerleader.

She was Moore Than a friend; she was a protector and caregiver.

She was Moore Than an Air Force Cadet;

she was a galvanizing leader and contributor

She was Moore Than a musician; She was genuine and open to discussion of varying perspectives invoked through music.

And Moore Than all of these –

Ava is a child of God, home in perfect peace and joy

with with her Lord and Savior…. for eternity.
